+ SCALE cordially invites you to join us on Thursday, 22 March, for the first in a series of events we will be hosting at PARLOR - the new private club at 286 Spring Street & Hudson in Soho, NYC.

CONSTRUCT.01 will feature a night of post-punk, early industrial and no/new/minimal wave with DJ sets by SILENT SERVANT (aka Juan Mendez, representing 1/3rd of the seminal collective SANDWELL DISTRICT); TODD SINES (founder of + SCALE and respected house/techno producer/DJ); and 100% LIVE analog set, eschewing laptops and MIDI for voltage controlled synths and drum machines by MARTIAL CANTEREL (a nom de plume of Sean McBride, 1/2 of Xeno & Oaklander).

Often switching between direction, advertising campaigns, album cover designs, and music/soundtrack production, these artists blur the lines between mediums and regularly employ the hand-crafted, photographic and computer generated, as well as the acoustic, analog, and digital in that which they create.

PARLOR 286 Spring Street (at Hudson), NYC. 8 PM – Late.
Please include the names and affiliations of any guests you wish to bring.

Shot between upstate New York, the George Washington Bridge, Central Park and midtown Manhattan, this short film depicts the birth of a young woman, born directly into young adulthood in a forest stream who makes her way slowly to civilization. Over the course of her journey into the heart of Manhattan, she evolves in uniquely direct ways with her surroundings as she reaches the epicenter of culture and commerce in the Western Hemisphere. IN POST PRODUCTION.
